Un flusso di onde brillanti is an installation piece by Numero Cromatico conceived for the historical centre of San Casciano in Val di Pesa (FI), with the aim of interacting directly with the everyday life of its inhabitants.

The installation consists of twenty flags and a banner, the former placed in the four main streets of the town, the latter placed on the clock tower. 

The flags contain verses that are part of the same poetic text. The artwork can be experienced in many different ways, depending on the path one decides to take.

 

The text is written by S.O.N.H., an artificial intelligence instructed by the collective to write texts about the future of humanity. The colours of the flags have been chosen to determine a neutral condition of vision, inviting the audience to focus on the construction of the poetic text and to explore the places of San Casciano in new and unusual ways.
